Comic Fiesta 2026: Malaysia's biggest anime weekend fills KLCC, 19 and 20 December
Comic Fiesta, Malaysia's longest-running anime, comics and games convention, returns to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 December 2026. The 2025 edition drew about 75,000 people. This year runs on RFID passes, and pre-order sales close on 1 December.
Comic Fiesta has been running since 2002, which makes it Malaysia's longest-running convention for animation, comics and games, and one of the largest in South East Asia: about 75,000 people came to the 2025 edition. The 2026 edition is at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 December, organised by Comic Fiesta Sdn Bhd, with the artist alley, cosplay, stage performances and exhibitor halls that fill the centre every December. The listing, checked against the organiser's official ticketing page, is the Comic Fiesta 2026 event page.
The pass comes first this year
Tickets are RFID cards, called passes, and the card is the thing: you need the physical pass at the door, a proof of purchase on its own does not get you in. Every pass has to be activated and registered through its QR code before entry, and once registered it is tied to the holder and cannot be transferred. Each customer can buy a maximum of five passes. Prices: a weekend pass is RM99, an all-day pass RM55, an afternoon pass RM35, and the special-priced all-day pass for children aged 12 and below (with a MyKid card) and OKU card holders is RM25. Online sales end on Tuesday 1 December at 11:59pm, and the organiser is plain about the risk of waiting: passes may sell out during the pre-order period, and if they do, none will be sold at the event. Buy early, and buy only from the official channels.
On the day
Doors open at 9:30am. The main exhibition runs to 7pm, with selected activities continuing to 10pm. Entry to the exhibition halls is what the pass buys; main stage sessions and other activities are first come, first served within capacity, so pick your one or two stage priorities and go to those first. The organiser, the convention centre and the KLCC management all discourage queuing around the venue in the early hours, so a civilised arrival after doors open is both the official advice and the sensible plan. Children aged 12 and below must be with a paying adult, and the organiser advises that very young children are better off skipping it: the halls are crowded and loud all day.
Getting there, and the weekend around it
The convention centre sits in KLCC, beside Suria KLCC and the park, and the easy way in is the train to KLCC station on the Kelana Jaya line, which drops you inside the complex without touching the December traffic. If you are staying over, stay within walking distance or one stop away: the Petronas Towers and the KL Tower decks are on the Kuala Lumpur attractions page for the gaps between sessions, and the weekend sits right before Christmas, when the city centre hotels fill. Families stretching the trip will find Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the Musical opening in Petaling Jaya on Tuesday 22 December.
